The Star Motion Control System

The Star Motion Control System (MC) can control the position of multiple tools, tool feed rate and machining speed. Each control system is able to function independently, allowing all tools to carry out separate operations to achieve optimum machining.
An added advantage of this system is a significant reduction in idle machine time.

Previously, operators had difficulty managing variations in bar diameters. The revolutionary system is pneumatically controlled to grip both ground or drawn bar stock within a 30 micron tolerance.

The Y-axis slidewav of the tool post incorporates a slanted dovetail structure. Because of this, the X- and Y-axis slideways can be arranged in a pattern close to the cutting point, increasing machine rigidity. In addition a straight line passing through the ball screw center,in parallel with the Y-axis slideway and the cutting point are close to each other (al), reducing the moment load caused by cutting resistance and thereby improving rigidity.

Machining completely separated for front and back by 3-channel independent control

Complex rear end machining can be performed simultaneously with the front end machining. Front end balance cut machining and rear end machining can be performed simultaneously by 3-channel independent control reducing cutting time.

This is a moveable spindle automatic lathe based on the swiss-type lathe, but with the guide bush removed. Without the guide bush, it is not suitable for use with long, narrow components, but for working on pieces that are too short to bend it allows more effective use of material.
Since a swiss-type lathe requires material to be of a certain length to pass through the guide bush, there is always a small amount that cannot be processed and is discarded as remnant material. The non-guide bush type lathe reduces the length of this discarded remnant material to about one third of the amount from a conventional swiss-type lathe. Moreover, if a Automatic Barfeeder with remnant processing function is used, then the length of the remnant material can be reduced to as little as 35 mm.
