Connect Power Cable

Cannot establish USB connection

The USB cable connection method depends on the operating system of the device (PC/smartphone/tablet) you are using. Check and make sure that the cable is properly set.

  • It also may mean that the connector is loose. Confirm that both the USB (Lightning) cable for the printer and device to be connected (PC/smartphone/tablet) are securely connected.
  • If you unplug the USB (Lightning) cable immediately after connecting it, iOS device may not recognize the printer even if you reconnect it. In this case, turn off the printer and turn it on again.
  • Since the USB (Lightning) cable does not have a structure that secures the connector, make sure to secure the cable using the cable hook after connecting the cable.
  • The USB (Lightning) cable may also be disconnected. If the connection is not established even after reconnecting, try connecting with a different cable.
Connect USB Cable

If the USB cable is connected and the Windows driver is not installed, the operating system may not properly recognize the printer.

If a USB cable was connected before installing the Windows driver and the printer queue could not be created, remove the USB cable, install the Windows driver and then reconnect the USB cable.

You cannot transfer data with multiple devices at the same time.

If a Windows (or other) device and iOS device are connected to USB-A port and USB-B port at the same time, data transferring is only possible for the device which was connected first.
In addition, if the printer is turned on when a Windows (or other) device and iOS device are connected to USB-A port and USB-B port at the same time, data transfers will be prioritized for the Windows (or other) device using USB-B port and the iOS device will only be charged (maximum of 0.5A).

If there unneeded cables connected, please remove them.

The USB-A port provides communication and charging to iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.) and USB-compatible devices (SCD222U); it provides charging only (max 0.5A) to other USB devices.
The USB-B port is used for transferring data between Windows/Android/Mac/Linux devices and connections from other USB devices are not supported.
