FAQ

When trouble occurs when using this product, please check the following before contacting support.

Power does not turn on

If the Ready LED does not turn on even when the power is turned on, it may mean that the power cable is not properly connected. Please check. It also may mean that the electrical outlet is loose. Check and make sure that the power outlet is properly connected.

LAN network disconnect warning is printed out

If connection using the configured wireless LAN setting cannot be performed, the printer will detect "link down (physically disconnected/IP address not obtained)" and print a warning message according to the setting.
Check if the wireless router, access point and DHCP server of the connection destination are working properly.

The warning message can be set so it will not print.

Set Disconnect Message

Cannot connect to network (WPS connection cannot be established)

Please check that the Ready LED is turned on.

Connect Power Cable

Please check that the Ready LED is turned on.
If the Ready LED is flashing, please check the LED lamp display content. If the LED display is "Link Down (Physical disconnection)", check if the wireless router and access point of the connection destination are working properly.
In addition, if the LED display indicates "Link Down (IP address not retrieved)", check if the DHCP server is available.

For the wireless router or communication device to be used as the access point, check if the device supports WPS.
Also, this printer only supports wireless channels between 1 and 11. If the access point is set to a channel besides 1 to 11, connection is not possible.

For iOS and Android devices, address management based on a DHCP server is required when connecting via WPS. Check if the DHCP server is available.

Check if "SSID" in **Network Configuration** of the self-printing printout is the network name of the connection destination.
If the network name is not printed, try connecting again as the network connection is not correct.

Connect Tablet/PC

Cannot connect tablet and PC with AP mode

Please check that the Ready LED is turned on.
If the Ready LED does not turn on even when the power is turned on, it may mean that the power cable is not properly connected. Please check. It also may mean that the electrical outlet is loose. Check and make sure that the power outlet is properly connected.

Connect Power Cable

After configuring wireless LAN settings using WPS, HTTP, TELNET, and such, the printer will start in infrastructure mode and AP mode connections will not be accepted.

If an AP mode connection is needed again, initialize the network settings.

Initialize Network Settings

Depending on the firmware version, AP mode cannot be used. If you use iOS or Windows 7 which supports Ad-Hoc mode, connect using Ad-Hoc mode.
Regarding firmware updates, consult our local distributor.

If the Ready LED does not turn on even when the power is turned on, it may mean that the power cable is not properly connected. Please check. It also may mean that the electrical outlet is loose. Check and make sure that the power outlet is properly connected.

Connect Power Cable

The firmware that supports AP mode does not support Ad-Hoc mode. Use an AP mode connection for all supported operating systems.

Connect Tablet/PC

iOS and Windows 7 support Ad-Hoc mode.
Android, Windows8, Windows8.1, and Windows 10 do not support Ad-Hoc mode.

If connection is not possible through WPS or AP mode, use an iOS device (iPad, iPhone, etc.) or Windows 7 PC to establish an ad-Hoc connection and perform connection settings.

Connect Tablet/PC

After configuring wireless LAN settings using WPS, HTTP, TELNET, and such, the printer will start in infrastructure mode, and Ad-Hoc mode connections will not be accepted.

If an Ad-Hoc mode connection is needed again, initialize the network settings.

Initialize Network Settings

If an ad-hoc connection is to be used, some time is required before establishing and using the connection. After configuring the ad-hoc settings with a tablet or PC, wait 1-2 minutes and then try searching again with a tool like TSP100III Utility.

Cannot connect to the Web Configuration

To connect to the Web Configuration, please enable JavaScript setting in your web browser (Active Scripting in Internet Explorer).

Up to 2 devices can access to the Web Configuration at the same time.
If more than 2 devices need to access, please try after data of the previous 2 devices is completely read (after more than 5 seconds)

Try the following workaround.

1. Check if the tablet and PC are connected in the same network.

Connect Tablet/PC

2. Turn on the power of the printer again.

3. Close the browser and access again (or reload).

If a white sheet is being ejected, then it may be possible that the paper roll is set in the opposite direction. Check the direction of the paper roll to make sure that the paper is set correctly.

Paper Setup

As this product is equipped with a thermal printer, it will not print on ordinary paper. Also, if there are issues such as the printed words being faint, it may be that the paper does not meet the specifications, or the paper has become old and deteriorated. Check the appropriate paper roll specifications and use paper that meets the printer's specification.

Paper Roll Specifications

If the Ready LED is blinking or the Error LED is lit/blinking, refer to the LED lamp display and check the status of the product.

If you can hear the printer operating but the paper is not being ejected, there is a possibility that a paper jam has occurred or the paper is being rolled onto the rubber roller. If a paper jam is occurring, refer to the "Paper Jam" section and remove the paper in question.

Paper Jam

Check that self-printing is working properly.
If self-printing can print properly, then it may be that communication with a host device such as a tablet and PC, is not established. Check the connection setting of the host device to confirm if wireless LAN settings are properly completed.

This machine provides the de-curl function to correct curls generated in thermal paper roll. The de-curl mechanism is always running during paper feeding.

  • However, this function cannot remove curls completely.
  • A receipt may be slightly folded near the top depending on the time in which receipt paper is left during the period from when a receipt is printed until the next one.
  • The de-curl effect varies depending on the paper you use or your environment.
  • Depending on the type or remaining amount of thermal paper roll, a receipt may be warped in a direction opposite to the normal direction by the de-curl function.
