SDK Privacy Policy

STAR MICRONICS CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “STAR”, “we”, “our” or “us”) hereby establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this “Policy”) regarding the handling of the functions and information of customers’ devices  and peripheral devices in connection with the software development kit provided by STAR (hereinafter referred to as our “SDK”).
Except as otherwise specified by STAR, we do not collect  or use customers’ personal information through our SDK.
*This Policy applies to all SDKs provided by STAR.

1.Functions and Information Accessed by Our SDK

When customers use our SDK, our SDK may collect and transmit to our servers the following information about customers’ devices and our peripheral devices, which does not identify individuals. This information may be used as statistical data for the following purposes:
・To improve services for customers using our products
・To improve and analyze our SDK

Information about your device
  • Device model information
  • Device OS and version information
  • Identifier of the application that calls our SDK’s API
  • Device language settings and time zone
Information about STAR peripheral devices in use
  • Peripheral device model information
  • Communication interface between the peripheral device and customer’s device
  • Information regarding the firmware version of the peripheral device
  • Product serial number of the peripheral device

2.Consent to this Policy

Please review and agree to the contents of this Policy before using STAR’s SDK.

4.Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Policy from time to time. In the event of any changes, the revised Policy will be notified by posting it on our website or through other appropriate means.
